LewisC. S. Lewis was an outstanding scholar of English Literature, author, apologist, and ardent follower of Jesus Christ. An Oxford University don (tutor) for almost three decades and a former atheist, Lewis was never a minister in the formal sense, yet he ranks among the 20th century’s most influential exponents of “mere Christianity,” the essential truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
